How Twitter Can Help Professional Flight Training

Ever hear of twitter before?  Sure you have, but if you are anything like I was a few months ago, you have no idea how to use it.  I did not understand the purpose or why it was important for my business.

It turns out, that by using twitter you can broaden your recruiting reach and tap into an enormous market that only a few schools are utilizing now.  And who are we kidding, the high school students you all want to recruit for your flight institution are the primary users of twitter anyway!  So start tweeting about how great your flight school is.

I am by no means an expert on how to use twitter, but when it came time for me to learn how to use it for business, I found this free e-book online that explains in the most basic terms, what twitter is and how to use it.

Take 10 minutes everyday for the next 5 days reading this book and you will have a firm grasp on why you should be using twitter a year ago!  Twitter is just another tool to help you draw qualified traffic to your website which in turn will lead to more flight students!  Everybody wins!

If you are stuck, here is a quick way to get started:

If your school is anything like mine was, you can always find a few CFIs sitting around talking about flying.  You need to capture that conversation!  Make it mandatory for each CFI to tweet on a schedule.  Try to post a new tweet once every day.
